Scouting is an organisation designed to allow young people to learn new skills, make friends and enjoy spending time outdoors. There are different sections for different age groups, ranging from 4 to 25 years old. The Beavers are for children aged 6 to 8. Some of our activities include camping, cooking, model making, science experiments, community projects and many, many more. Scouting is for everyone, so just let us know if you have any questions or concerns. We encourage you to try out a few sessions before fully committing!
1st Little Heath Beavers meet from 17:30-18:30 every term-time Tuesday. We are currently based at North Mymms hall (in Brookmans Park) whilst we rebuild our scout hut . We will keep you up to date with everything via our WhatsApp group.
We will regularly ask for parent helpers to allow us to keep a safe ratio of children to adults, so be prepared to help out. It’s a great opportunity to see what your children have been getting up to!
The Beaver group is run by Susan Oatway (Deer) with help from fellow leader Amanda Lamb (Vixen) and Young Leader Bobby Brierley (Bear).
